Ritz Camera Opens Second Silver Spring Store Location
Stores built to cater to customer
Silver Spring, MD – August 2005 – Digital camera customers now have a camera store catering to their high-tech needs. A new Ritz Camera store has been built in the Burnt Mills area of Silver Spring. “This densely populated area was the perfect location to expand Ritz Camera because it is right on Columbia Pike,” said Jeff Seidel, District Manager for Ritz Camera.
This store has high-tech qualities that distinguish it from many other retail stores selling photo and video equipment. “We built this store to specifically cater to the high-end, savvy digital customer,” said Seidel. The store features two exclusive Print Bar stations, where customers can edit and submit digital prints for processing in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Their orders will be ready in minutes. Customers can also place orders online from home or the office for digital prints and later pick them up at the store or have them delivered to their home. Seidel explained, “This is the first location in the area with a photo lab capable of printing up to 12 x 18 enlargements in one hour.”
Hillary Redmond transferred to this location to be the store manager. She has been with Ritz Camera Centers for ten years.
Silver Spring has seen two Ritz Camera stores open within the last few months. In addition to the new Burnt Mills location, a Ritz Camera store opened in March in downtown Silver Spring. This store is participating in the downtown renovation project on 8551 Fenton Street.
The newest location is at the Burnt Mills Shopping Center, near Trader Joe’s Grocery Store and Starbucks, at 10737 Columbia Pike in Silver Spring.
