I love embossing things -- I love the texture it give to paper. this was the first thing I purchased after buying my Cricut expression. I've used it far more than any of the other equipment I have. The variety of folders available gives you embellishments for all occasions. I love the BigShot.

This machine is a must have for all scrapbookers. Especially those who enjoy mini album making. The Cricut is a great machine but it does not cut through the variety of materials that the Big Shot does (you know chipboard, which we are always wanting) I thought when I got my Cricut I would not want this but I find myself turning to it all the time!

After reading through all the different reviews, I finally decided to get the Sizzix Big Shot. First of all, it is visually appealing compared to the other machines that also have the same function. I was able to use the embossing folders from cuttlebug with no problem at all! I do like playing with it and coming up with more personalized crafts. It is very sturdy. The only con that it has is that the word "sponge" was spelled as "spounge" on the product packaging, but that provided a few minutes of amusement. Overall, I think this will be one of my favorite crafting tools.

Even a beginner card maker or scrapper can get excellent, professional, amazing results. This
unit is stable -- no tipping on your work surface.

Although this is a safe product (no blades), caution should be used when "little fingers" get near the rollers.

The large dies are awesome! I've been crafting for over 15 years and the Big Shot is one of my
very favorite purchases.

While the Cuttlebug is great, the Big Shot wins hands down because of its versatility. The Big Shot is also easier on my arthritic hands. I can use all of my Cuttlebug dies and embossing folders with the Big Shot plus I have the option of larger dies, including some very cool boxes.

This die cut machine is the best you can buy. I have been waiting to buy this. Easy to assemble-just add the crank arm. Very sturdy when turning the die through the machine. Works with most die cuts from other companies-thick and thin. Not very heavy and has a handle, so it could be taken with you to a scraping meeting, etc. Great that is comes with the multipurpose form and plate.

My Big Shot was so easy to use from the moment I took it out of the box. I had used it at a Stamp-in-Up Party and fell in love with it. It doesn't slip around when you are using it and has a very sturdy handle to hold onto when you are turning the handle. I am able to use this with Sizzix products as well as Cuddlebug products. It is so much fun to use and some of the cards I have created have turned out awesome. It is great for home use. I wouldn't want to take it cropping because of its size, but I cut out the items I want prior to my cropping night so I can be organized.

Love it - but had to place a second order to use the texturz (impressions pad/silicone rubber pad), so I didn't get to use it as fast as I had hoped. Love the durability and size of the tool. I had another die cutting/embossing manual machine which only lasted 3 months. This Big Shot is a much sturdier machine. One of the really convenient things is the hinged, layered platform with the directions printed directly on the "pages". This prevents you having to hunt for your directions each time you change your task or change the type of die you are using. The platform area is a good size with ample space to lay out your cardstock and die.

I use this product when teaching stamping classes for making ease of cutting many items the same size and for cutting items which coordinate with stamp sets that I use. It can be used to create cards, scrapbook pages, boxes, bags, the list is endless. The fact that it cuts through many different media makes this product very versatile and worth having. I have the Cricut Cutter and find having the Big Shot is a nice companion for die cutting.

A great tool to have when you are into scrapbooking and card making. This machine can accomodate bigger dies that will not otherwise fit through the original sizzix or cuttlebug machines. I wish the company would make more 3D dies. The selection of dies is very limited.

I truly enjoy using my Big Shot. One of the best things about it is you do not waste more paper than needed. That is a large part of why I bought it. With the Cricut, I feel more paper is wasted than what needs to be. The Big Shot allows me to put only what is needed with each die, and the excess paper can be discarded or used as a reversed templete to sponge, trace, etc. The cuts from the Big Shot are beautiful. I've used it for my tablescape projects, and the items cut look as though I bought them rather than something I could make. It is a wonderful machine, and I would recommend it to anyone that is into crafting - no matter what the area.

My best friend and I spent the morning and most of the afternoon cutting all manner of cards, boxes and trying different weights of paper with each set we had gotten to go with this machine. The looks of the machine Ritz Camera carries is MUCH more attractive than any of the others the competition is selling: including Michaels, JoAnn's and Stampin Up...even has some bling on the handle and on the name plate. We did feel however, that the Crease Pad was rather redundant- as we achieved the same/similar result whether we used it or not.

This big shot has allowed me to increase my creativity in making cards and scrapbooking. It works every time and so effortlessly. I can now embellish my stamped projects with die cut accessories and embossed items making them even more special and unique. I have owned several different die cutting machines, but this one is the absolute best one out there. It uses Sizzix dies and dies from most other machines. No need to keep several different machines around. I love how the multi purpose platform is one piece and accomodates all of the various sized dies.
