    Comments about Samsung DVD-R135 Recorder:

I purchased this unit Summer of 2006 right after I set the unit up record some shows off my DVR everything seemed to work great, till I tried to play the DVD's in another player the unit would not finalize call the support department and they said unit was bad send it in and they would repair it. Eight weeks later I set the unit up again and try to record a -R worked ok. Then I decide to put some shows on -RW, again unit would not finalize called support they said its bad send it in. Another eight weeks I set the unit up tried to record to a -RW no luck now I'm quit mad I call support again talk to someone and insisted I talk to supervisor or above after a heated discussion with a supervisor she referred me to a director of support, after some more discussion she promised if I sent it in it would be repair right or they would give we a new one, up to this point a new one was out of question the warranty for repair not replacement, so I agreed. Another eight weeks I got the unit back I have not tried anything with -RW been afraid it would break have done several -R and it seems to work. Then about a week ago I was watching a DVD and the picture started showing individual pixels totally ruining the movie. I removed the DVD and tried it in another play worked fine. Called support again they said the laser was going bad, I hung up on them and I'm looking for a new unit, I don't even want a free one from a company that can’t fix something after 3 tries.
I high recommend not buy this unit or the DVD-R135 witch is the same unit without HDMI.

    Comments about Samsung DVD-R135 Recorder:

I was very upset when I had a problem and had to send my unit to service, But have been totally amazed with the conversion of my movies so far.I was amazed to see that in the proper light that the bathing suits were see thru. I will be watching all my old beach movies very close as I put them on DVD. YES I'm very happy with the picture and ease of use.
